About Cake Trays
Cake Trays is a small, family run bakery baking celebration cakes to order from our kitchen in Dagenham, and delivering them across Romford, Ilford, Barking, East Ham and the wider East London area. Every cake is made to order, hand piped by our own team, and finished the way you asked for it. Nothing is mass produced and nothing sits on a shelf.
Who bakes your cake
Cake Trays is run by Sundas Safeer, who does all of the baking and decorating herself, with help on deliveries and admin. When you order a vintage Lambeth cake, a heart cake or a school cake tray, it is made by the same pair of hands every time. That is the reason the designs stay consistent, and it is also the reason we cap how many cakes we take on a given date rather than promising more than we can bake properly.

Where we bake, and how to get your cake
We bake at 16 Boxoll Road, Dagenham, RM9 5UD. There are two ways to get your cake:
- Collection from RM9 5UD, which is how most of our customers order.
- Delivery across Romford, Ilford, Dagenham, Barking, Goodmayes, Seven Kings, East Ham, Manor Park, Forest Gate, Stratford, Plaistow, West Ham, Leyton, Walthamstow, Woodford, South Woodford, Chigwell and Hainault.
We do not promise a slot before we know we can honour it. Tell us the date you need the cake for and your delivery or collection slot is confirmed at checkout.

Our range is built around occasions rather than trends. Cake trays and tray bakes from £17.99, including the school cake tray that a lot of people order for the nostalgia. Milk cake trays, also known as tres leches, in vanilla, chocolate, pistachio, Biscoff, caramel, Oreo and Rooh Afza, from £23.99. Birthday cakes from £32.99. Heart cakes from £39.99. Vintage Lambeth designs, number cakes, gender reveal and baby shower cakes, cake gift boxes, and wedding, Nikkah and engagement cakes from £114.99.
If you want something that is not on the site, we take fully custom orders. Send us the idea and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
Halal-friendly baking
Every cake we bake is made with halal-friendly ingredients. It is one of the main reasons families in this part of London order from us, particularly for Eid, Ramadan gatherings, Nikkah celebrations and mehndi. If you have a specific question about what goes into a cake, ask us before you order and we will give you a straight answer.
Food safety
Cake Trays is registered as a food business with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, and we hold public liability insurance. We follow the Safer Food, Better Business system, keeping daily records of temperatures, cleaning and preparation.
